Bleach, released June 15, 1989, unleashes Nirvana's raw grunge debut with Kurt Cobain's primal screams and sludgy riffs tearing through Aberdeen-inspired anthems like "Blew," "Floyd the Barber," "About a Girl," and "Negative Creep" recorded at Reciprocal Recording Studios in Seattle, Washington.

Jack Endino helmed production on this $606 budget Sub Pop session featuring Chad Channing's thunderous drums and Krist Novoselic's seismic basslines during December 1988-January 1989, capturing the band's pre-fame Tacoma rehearsal ferocity before Dave Grohl joined.

Initially selling 30,000 copies with no chart action, Bleach exploded post-Nevermind to Platinum certification as Sub Pop's biggest seller and grunge's foundational fury.
